- Why Jim Morris is Stepping Back
- What This Means for Pixar’s Vibe
- Our Take
We just heard some *really* interesting news! Pixar Animation Studios, the place that brings us all those amazing, colorful worlds, is getting a big change at the top. Jim Morris, who led the studio as president for a super long time – 12 out of his 21 years there – is moving to an “emeritus” role. Think of it as a respected elder statesman position.
Taking his place? Jonathan Garson! He’s the new president. We’re already picturing the fresh energy he’ll bring.
Think about the vibrant, groundbreaking visual styles Pixar is known for. What new aesthetic will Jonathan and Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter cook up together? It’s exciting to imagine! Maybe a whole new color palette for our screens?
Jonathan will be teaming up with Pete Docter. Pete is the brain behind so many of the stories that just grab your heart, like *Up* and *Inside Out*. This duo? We’ve got a feeling they’re going to create some truly unforgettable magic on screen. Get ready for some visual feasts!
Speaking of amazing stories that really make you think, have you seen why Meryl Streep is so obsessed with this doc about brave Russian journalists? It’s a must-watch!
And if you’re keeping up with all the big debuts, we can’t forget about Savannah Chrisley’s baby bump reveal during a Chick-fil-A craving! Talk about making an entrance.
Plus, is Ranbir Kapoor’s Ramayana going to be the next huge thing, just like a new era at Pixar? We’re on the edge of our seats!
Our Take
We’re super optimistic about this shift. Jim Morris had an incredible run, making Pixar what it is today. And Jonathan Garson, partnering with a creative genius like Pete Docter? That sounds like a dream team ready to push the boundaries of animation even further. We can’t wait to see the next chapter, and the beautiful new visuals it brings!
