Bhooth Bangla: Vendors complain of pending dues worth Rs 48 lakh as Ekta Kapoor celebrates career’s biggest hit
- Why vendors are upset with the production.
- The Rs 48 lakh bill that hasn’t been paid.
- A look at Ekta Kapoor’s recent career highs.
We just saw some really messy news about Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movie, Bhooth Bangla. It seems the ‘ghost house’ is already haunted by some unpaid bills. Ouch.
While Ekta Kapoor is celebrating the biggest hit of her career, the mood on the ground isn’t so great. Vendors say they are still waiting for Rs 48 lakh. That is a huge amount of cash to leave hanging.
The movie has such a cool, spooky aesthetic. We love the dark vibe and the gothic colors. But the financial side of the project is looking a bit too grim right now.
It is strange to see people checking the JSW Steel or Yes Bank share price while these workers are just trying to get paid. Money is moving everywhere else. Why not here?
Speaking of movie sets, Ranveer Singh was just spotted holding baby Dua on a shoot. That is a much happier visual than this payment drama.
Sometimes the drama behind the camera is wilder than the show. Like how The Boys creator told fans they are watching the wrong show if they don’t like his style. Or how Kris Jenner filmed her own surgery for the world to see.
Our Take
Success should be shared. We think it’s not a great look to throw parties when the people who built the set are still waiting for their checks. We hope they get paid soon so the spooky fun can continue!
