You Won’t Believe What ‘The Odyssey’ in 4DX Did To Us!
- What ‘The Odyssey’ in 4DX is really like.
- Why you might get soaked!
- Our honest thoughts on the wild ride.
You know how Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Odyssey’ is just… huge? Like, seeing it in 70mm IMAX is already a mind-blower. It’s expansive. Breathtaking!
But for all you movie buffs who’ve done that, what’s next? We just went for another round. And oh boy, did we pick a wild one. We’re talking 4DX!
Imagine watching Matt Damon try to survive, but you’re not just watching. You’re feeling it. Your seat? It’s rumbling. Hard. When the spaceship shakes, so do you. It’s like being right there.
Then comes the water. Spritzing! Misting! Seriously, during all those intense scenes with water, you get a little splash. With all the talk about వర్షం (rain) trending, this movie truly delivered on the moisture front. It felt very immediate, very real.
The visual style of the film, already stunning, gets this whole new layer. The colors feel sharper, the scale even bigger, because your body is reacting to everything on screen. It’s an immersive vibe, making you almost part of the aesthetic. You can feel the cold of space, the heat of reentry. It’s a trip!
It’s not quite the adrenaline rush of watching Robert Lewandowski score a goal, or the excitement of ലോകകപ്പ് ഫുട്ബോള്. But it’s definitely a unique kind of sporting event for your senses! We half expected to see a Pakistan flag waving when things got really windy in the movie. And we wondered if there were 3 different levels of intensity for the wind and water.
Our seats were shaking almost as much as the Nexstar execs when those judges said ‘Hold Up!’ You can read all about that drama here. And if you think Whitney Rose and Justin separating is tough, try watching three hours of space drama while getting lightly sprayed! Get the scoop here.
Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine is absolutely slaying this summer? Well, this 4DX experience was definitely slaying our senses in a big way! Check out what Reese is up to here.
Our Take
So, should you try ‘The Odyssey’ in 4DX? Yes. And no. It’s an adventure. A ride. For sure. But maybe not for every single movie out there. Your popcorn will get damp. You might feel a little, well, seasick. A tiny bit. But for a movie like ‘The Odyssey,’ it takes epic to a whole new, soaking level. It’s an interesting experiment in movie-watching, pushing the boundaries of what a cinema trip can be. The story already grabs you, but this format makes you *feel* it. It’s a wild ride, and we think it’s worth trying at least once, especially if you love big-screen spectacle!
