Whoa! The ‘Wild Robot’ Team Is Bringing Its Magic to the Sunny Canary Islands!
- Who is STIM?
- Where are they going?
- What does this mean for jobs?
- Our take on the future of animation!
We just saw some super cool news pop up, and we had to share it! The amazing studio called STIM, who brought us the incredible visuals for ‘The Wild Robot’ – you know, that sweet, heartfelt story – is making a big move. They also worked on ‘The Garfield Movie’ and ‘Coyote vs. Acme.’ Pretty neat, right?
So, where are they headed? Spain’s Canary Islands! Specifically, Tenerife. Imagine creating awesome animation with that sunny, breezy, island vibe. Think vibrant blues of the ocean and lush greens of the tropics influencing the next big screen hit.
STIM is setting up a brand-new production spot there. And get this: they’re planning to create over 100 jobs! Yes, you read that right. Over a hundred new opportunities for creative minds in Europe.
This new hub, which they’re calling STIM Tenerife, is set to open its doors and get rolling this August. So soon! They’re really expanding their European operations.
Our Take
This is huge! We think it’s fantastic to see more creative industries branching out to such beautiful places. Imagine the kind of fresh, vibrant stories and visual styles that could come from a team working in such an inspiring environment. It’s like a mini-Hollywood, but with palm trees and a Spanish accent! This is great news for both the animation world and for the local community.
