Okay, friends, we just saw some big news pop up across the pond!
The UK’s broadcasting union, Bectu, has a brand new chief taking the reins. It’s official: Noel McClean is stepping up as Head of Bectu!
This is a fresh start. A new chapter, really. It gives off a vibe of strong, clear leadership, almost like a bold new color being added to the media world’s palette.
He’s taking over from the fantastic Philippa Childs, who’s retiring early next year. Big shoes to fill, for sure!
So, who is Noel? Well, he’s no stranger to Bectu. He spent 13 years there!
He worked his way up, becoming National Secretary. Talk about dedication! After that, he became a Deputy General Secretary at Bectu’s main union, Prospect.
He knows the ropes. He’s been around the block, and then some. We’re talking serious experience here!
