We just watched Kore-eda’s latest, ‘Sheep in the Box’, and wow, it’s a ride! This sci-fi fable introduces us to Kakeru, a 7-year-old AI humanoid. Cute, right?
The whole movie has this gentle, almost dream-like visual style. It feels simple. Very pure.
But here’s the thing. For all its sweet fantasy vibe, the story feels a bit… lost. Like trying to find your way without a map.
