Finally, some news that will make you roar with excitement! We just heard something HUGE for all you Disney and Pixar fans. Get ready because a whole new ‘Monsters, Inc.’ themed land is coming! It’s called Monstropolis, and it’s set to open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Disney World.
Mark your calendars for 2027! That’s when we can all step into the world of Mike and Sulley. This awesome news dropped last Saturday at D23. (Speaking of D23, we just saw the future there, and it’s full of X-Men and Incredibles 3!)
Michael Hundgen, who’s a big deal creative VP at Walt Disney Imagineering, told Variety how excited they are. “We’re so excited to bring Monstropolis to life for fans,” he said. Imagine it: bright, crazy colors everywhere! Think neon green, shocking pink, and those cool industrial metal vibes, but cartoon-style. It’s going to be a visual treat!
Right now, Monstropolis is already under construction. Yep, they’re actually building it as we speak! It feels so real. We can almost hear Boo giggling already.
Our Take
We are beyond stoked for this! The ‘Monsters, Inc.’ movies have such a unique, quirky aesthetic. Bringing that vibrant energy to life in a theme park is genius. We can’t wait to see how they pull off the doors, the monster school, and maybe even a scream extractor ride? Our inner child is literally jumping for joy. Bring on the scares… and the laughs!
