You won’t believe what Prada is doing for movies! We just heard some pretty amazing news that got us really excited.
Last year, at the Venice Film Festival, Italy’s Fondazione Prada launched something special. It was a brand new film fund! Their big idea? To help independent movies from all corners of the globe.
Seriously, no rules. No limits on what the stories could be about. Or how they looked. Or even what language they spoke. Pure artistic freedom!
And guess what? This year, they’re back on the Lido with actual proof that it’s working. We love seeing ideas turn into reality so quickly!
One of the first films this fund helped? Rubaiyat Hossain’s ‘The Difficult Bride.’ It even got into Venice Horizons!
This is fantastic. It’s about helping visionaries create something truly special. Something with its own unique aesthetic. Independent cinema often has that same fresh visual energy, pushing boundaries and showing us new ways to see the world.
