Phew! Texas Roller Coaster Rescue Has Everyone Breathing Easy!
- What happened at Pleasure Pier?
- Who got stuck?
- How did they get down?
- Our thoughts on the whole wild ride.
You won’t believe what happened at Pleasure Pier in Galveston, Texas. We just heard some truly wild news, and thankfully, it has a happy ending.
Eight brave folks were stuck way, way up high on the Iron Shark roller coaster. Like, 100 feet in the air! The ride just… stopped. Can you even imagine?
This all went down on May 28th. The Iron Shark, usually a blur of fun, just hung there. The steel beams, normally buzzing with energy, were totally still. The whole scene must have had a really tense, almost surreal vibe.
For a while, those eight riders were just waiting. Waiting for help. It must have felt like forever, just suspended against that bright Galveston sky. A real heart-stopper, honestly.
But good news! Everyone is safe. They were all brought back down to solid ground. We’re just so relieved for them and their families.
Our Take
Honestly, our hearts were in our throats just thinking about this. Being stuck 100 feet up? That’s a whole new level of thrill, and not the fun kind.
It really makes you think about these big rides. They’re supposed to be pure joy. When things go wrong, it’s a stark reminder of how high up we sometimes let ourselves go, literally. We’re just super happy to hear everyone made it down okay. That’s what really matters.
