- Plus, a big chat with a Japanese movie boss.
Hey guys, we just saw something pretty cool! Bill Kramer, the big cheese at the Oscars, is jetting off to Tokyo. It’s his first time in Asia, and he’s got some exciting stuff planned.
First up, he’s picking up a leadership award at the Tokyo International Film Festival. Think bright lights, a fancy stage – a really vibrant aesthetic for the event. We can just picture the scene!
But wait, there’s more! He’s also going to sit down with Matsuoka Hiro. He’s the head honcho at Toho. You know, the studio that gave us Godzilla! This chat will be public, so we’re hoping to get some behind-the-scenes insights.
The festival itself runs from late October to early November. It’s a pretty big deal for film lovers. We’re always excited to see what international cinema is cooking up.
Our Take
We think this is awesome! It’s great to see the Academy connecting with other major players in the global film scene. It feels like a big step towards even more collaboration. Plus, hearing from the head of Toho? We’re all ears!
