We just saw the wildest update about Ivan Beerkus and Angela Nikolau. You know them. They are the stars of the Netflix documentary Skywalkers: A Love Story. They literally climbed the needle-top of the Empire State Building on Wednesday.
It was for a proposal. So romantic. But also very illegal. The police didn’t care about the ‘vibe’ of their love story. They took them straight to jail after they came down from the clouds.
Finally, we have news. The couple appeared in Manhattan Criminal Court this morning. The judge gave them supervised release. They are out of jail! For now, at least. A new court date is already set.
The aesthetic of their photos is always so clean and airy. Think bright blue skies and cold grey steel. It looks beautiful but makes our stomachs flip. It is art, but it is risky art. We hope they stay safe while they wait for their next hearing.
