Moana Star & Deacon Phillippe Headed to Disney+’s ‘Spaceship Earth’!
- The Buzz: Catherine Laga’aia and Deacon Phillippe teaming up.
- The Project: A new Disney+ pilot called ‘Spaceship Earth’.
- The Inspiration: It’s based on the cool EPCOT attraction!
Guess what, art lovers? We just heard some super exciting news from Disney+. Catherine Laga’aia, who you know as the voice of Moana in the live-action movie, is going to be in a new pilot. And she’s not alone!
Joining her is Deacon Phillippe. Remember him from ‘Brother Save Us’? This new show is called ‘Spaceship Earth’. And get this – it’s inspired by that awesome EPCOT attraction!
We’re still waiting to hear about their characters. Disney is keeping those details pretty quiet. But imagine the possibilities! We’re already picturing a bright, futuristic vibe, maybe with some vibrant colors and cool designs, just like the park attraction.
This whole project was announced back in August. It’s coming from Jason Fuchs, who also worked on ‘IT’. We can’t wait to see what they do with it.
Our Take
Honestly, this sounds like a lot of fun! Taking a beloved Disney World experience and turning it into a TV show? Brilliant. We love seeing familiar things get a fresh spin. And with Catherine Laga’aia involved, we’re sure it’s going to have that magical Disney touch.
