‘Matlock’ Boss Jennie Snyder Urman Breaks Down Season 2 Finale; Teases Time Jump, More Edwin Hodge
- The Wellbrexa case is finally over.
- A massive time jump is coming for Season 3.
- Expect way more Edwin Hodge on your screen soon.
We just finished the double-episode finale of Matlock. Wow. It was a total rollercoaster. After two seasons of waiting, the Wellbrexa case is finally closed.
The vibe of this finale was so intense. We love the sharp, clean aesthetic of the law offices. The cool blue tones and the expensive suits make everything feel so high-stakes. It’s a visual treat.
But don’t get too comfortable. Showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman says things are changing. She teased a big time jump for next year. This means we will skip ahead and see how the characters have grown.
We are also getting a lot more of Edwin Hodge. His character, Julian, is going to be a huge focus. If you love seeing great actors do their thing, this is great news. Speaking of great actors, you should check out our review of Luke Evans on Broadway.
The show is moving in a bold new direction. It feels fresh. Like a new coat of paint on a classic house. We are ready for the drama to heat up even more.
Our Take
We think a time jump is a smart move. It keeps the story from getting stuck. Plus, focusing more on Julian is exactly what the fans wanted. It’s going to be a wild ride!
