You won’t believe what we just read! Karisma Kapoor, a total icon, has a new thriller out called ‘Brown’. And honestly?
The early buzz isn’t quite what we hoped for. Reviews are saying she’s “trapped in a cliche-ridden thriller.” Ouch.
It sounds like the film tried for a moody, intense vibe, perhaps with lots of shadowed streets and dramatic close-ups. But even with a strong visual aesthetic, if the story itself feels like we’ve seen it a hundred times before, it just doesn’t hit right.
We were so ready for Karisma to blow us away. Remember how excited we were for Bobby Deol’s return in ‘Bandar’? We love a good comeback story!
Our Take
It’s a tough one. Karisma Kapoor is brilliant, a true star. It’s a shame to hear her talent might be overshadowed by a story that plays it too safe.
We really wanted ‘Brown’ to be a fresh, gripping watch. Maybe it’s still worth seeing for her performance alone? But our fingers are crossed for her next project to give us that truly unique thriller we’re craving!
