- What makes it special.
You won’t believe what just happened!
Japan has made its big move for the Oscars. They picked Ryusuke Hamaguchi’s newest film, All Of A Sudden, for the Best International Feature Film race. This is huge for the 99th Academy Awards!
It’s a drama, part Japanese, part French. We think that mix sounds really interesting. A cool blend of cultures on screen.
And guess what? This film already rocked Cannes. It got an incredible 11-minute standing ovation. Imagine that! The crowd just kept cheering.
Not only that, both lead actresses won big. Virginie Efira and Tao […] both snagged a Best Actress prize. Talk about a double win!
We can only imagine the vibe of this film. Hamaguchi always delivers something visually striking. We bet the aesthetic is deep, perhaps with subtle color palettes that draw you right into the story, making every shot count.
Our Take
We’re seriously rooting for All Of A Sudden. It sounds like a powerful story with amazing performances. We think it has a real shot at bringing home that golden statue. Go Japan!
