Inspector Avinash Season 2 Review: Randeep Hooda’s Acting Chops Can’t Fully Save A Crime Thriller Weighed Down By Cliches

Randeep Hooda in a serious police uniform, looking intensely at the camera.
  • Randeep Hooda’s acting power
  • A confusing crime plot
  • Lots of old, tired ideas

We just checked out Inspector Avinash Season 2. And wow, Randeep Hooda is really good in it. He brings so much energy to the screen.

But, the story itself? It felt a bit like we’ve seen it all before. The show tries to juggle a weapons cartel and a murder case. It’s a lot.

Visually, it has a gritty, dark vibe. Think rain-soaked streets and tense close-ups. It tries hard to look and feel like a serious crime thriller.

Unfortunately, the writing gets stuck in a loop. So many cliches are thrown in. It’s like the writers pulled from a checklist of overused crime drama moments.

Randeep’s performance is definitely the bright spot. He carries a lot of the weight. His intensity is top-notch.

Yet, the uneven plot and some shaky technical bits hold it back. It’s a shame because there’s potential there.

We wish the story had a fresher angle. The action keeps moving, which is nice. But the predictable turns spoil the ride.

Our Take

Look, Randeep Hooda is a star. He’s got the chops. But even his amazing acting can’t rescue a show that’s swimming in tired tropes. Inspector Avinash Season 2 had us hooked for a bit, but then it just felt… meh. It’s a decent watch if you’re a big fan, but don’t expect anything groundbreaking.
