You won’t believe what’s brewing in the world of film and TV production!

Thomas Benski and Marisa Clifford, the amazing minds who gave us shows like ‘Gangs of London’, are making headlines. Big headlines.

That show has such a distinct, gritty vibe, right? All those deep shadows and intense colors. Totally captivating.

Well, these two are actually suing Vice Media. Yep, Vice!

They claim Vice owes them a massive amount of money. We’re talking more than $20 million!

Here’s the deal: Back in 2016, Vice first bought a big chunk of their company, Pulse Films. Like, a majority share.

Then, in December 2021, Vice decided to buy the rest of it. They got Benski and Clifford’s remaining 22% shareholding.

For that final bit, Benski and Clifford received $10 million in cash. Plus, a loan worth $43.24 million.

But now, they’re saying Vice still hasn’t paid up completely. More than $20 million is apparently still on the table.

It’s a pretty wild situation. Especially for a company that makes such visually striking projects.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on this story. It’s a lot of money to be fighting over!

Our Take

We think it’s always tricky when big deals like this unwind. You shake hands, sign papers, and hope everything goes smoothly.

But clearly, for Benski and Clifford, things aren’t quite adding up. We hope they get this sorted out soon!
