- The rising cost of Magic Kingdom tickets
- What a family of four will pay in 2027
- Why the ‘Disney aesthetic’ is getting expensive
We just saw the new price tags for Disney World. They are honestly pretty wild. If you are planning a trip for 2027, you might want to start saving your pennies right now.
By 2027, a family of four will need $932 just to walk through the gates of Magic Kingdom. This is for the most popular days of the year. Currently, that same trip costs about $890. It is creeping closer to that $1,000 mark every year.
Keep in mind, this is just for the tickets. It does not include your parking or those pricey Mickey ears. You still have to pay for food and the Lightning Lane to skip lines. The total cost for one day will be huge.
As art lovers, we adore the visual style of the park. The bright pastel colors of Main Street are iconic. The sparkling blue water around the castle creates such a whimsical vibe. But that beautiful aesthetic is starting to feel like a luxury most people can’t afford.
This price hike comes during a lot of shifts for the company. We recently heard that Andy Park left Marvel after 16 years because of layoffs. It seems like Disney is changing in more ways than one.
In other industry news, Steven Yeun just signed with CAA, which is a big move for his career. On a much darker note, the news about D4vd being charged has everyone talking today.
Our Take
We love the magic. We really do. But $1,000 for one day is a lot of money. It feels like the park is becoming a place only for the super-rich. We hope the fun stays reachable for every family, not just a few.
