We just saw what went down at San Diego Comic-Con, and wow, Marvel fans are dedicated. Diehard fans actually camped out for over 30 hours! Can you imagine? They packed into the massive Hall H Saturday night, buzzing with excitement for Marvel’s big panel.
The 40-minute show promised big things. Then, boom! Two surprise announcements dropped. Ryan Gosling as Ghost Rider? Yes, please! And ‘Black Panther 3’ is on its way, which got everyone talking! (Remember when we chatted about T’Challa’s son coming to the big screen? Or how David Jonsson is our new Black Panther?)
But as the panel wrapped up, a question hung in the air. Was that it? After all that hype, and all those hours waiting, it’s hard not to feel a tiny bit like, ‘Is that all there is?’ Many were probably hoping for news on other big projects, like a new ‘Deadpool’ update. The visual aesthetic of the whole event, from the stage lights to the excited faces, really set the mood for something massive, but the reveals felt a little sparse.
Our Take
So, what do we think? We’re super excited for Ghost Rider, especially with Ryan Gosling! And more Wakanda is always a win. The vibe in Hall H must have been electric just for those two bombs.
But, for such a hyped event, it felt like we only got glimpses. Like a delicious meal with just two appetizers, when we were ready for a full feast. It leaves us wondering what Marvel has truly planned for what’s beyond the ‘Doomsday’ title.
The energy was there, the fans were there, but the big reveals? They felt a little quiet for such a loud crowd. We’re cautiously optimistic, hoping there’s more magic waiting just around the corner!
