Did Daayra’s Box Office Vibe Just Fizzle Out? We’re Seeing Red!
- What’s Inside:
- Daayra’s slow start
- A look at the numbers
- Our thoughts on the vibe
We just saw the opening weekend numbers for ‘Daayra,’ starring Kareena Kapoor Khan and Prithviraj Sukumaran. And, well, it’s not exactly setting the box office on fire.
The film didn’t really pick up speed. It brought in way less than another movie we’ve been talking about lately, ‘Vibe.’ We’re talking a whopping 71% less! Ouch.
It’s a shame, really. Sometimes a film’s visual style, its whole aesthetic, just doesn’t connect with everyone. We’re seeing that happen here.
Compare this to something like ‘Hanuman Ansh.’ That movie is still going strong, even after seven weekends! It’s making loads more than its competition. That’s a different kind of vibe altogether.
Our Take
It’s tough when a big movie doesn’t perform as expected. We were hoping for a different story with ‘Daayra.’ Maybe the opening weekend vibe just wasn’t strong enough. We’ll be watching to see if it picks up!
