We just heard some really sad news. Dave Mason, the awesome voice behind the band Traffic, has passed away. He was 79 years old.
This is a big loss for the music world. Traffic gave us so many amazing songs. You can almost picture the vibrant, psychedelic vibe of their music, like a swirling kaleidoscope of sound. Mason was a huge part of that unique sound.
He was also a Rock & Roll Hall of Famer. That really shows how much he meant to music. He died at home on Sunday, April 19. They haven’t shared why, but it’s still a shock.
