Comedian Mary Beth Barone is Writing a Rom-Com and Guess Who’s Starring With Her!
- What’s Inside:
- A new rom-com alert!
- Joe Alwyn joins the cast.
- Lena Dunham is on board too.
Okay, BuzzMedia fam, we just heard some seriously fun news! Comedian Mary Beth Barone, who’s already got a cool rom-com series in the works with A24, is now writing and starring in a brand new movie called ‘Still We Met’. Imagine that!
And get this – she’s not alone. She’ll be sharing the screen with Joe Alwyn, who you might know from ‘Hamnet’. We’re already picturing the cozy, maybe a little awkward, aesthetic of this one. It’s said to be inspired by Barone’s own dating stories, which is always the best kind of real.
Adding to the buzz, Lena Dunham is listed as one of the executive producers. That’s a pretty awesome team assembling! This will also be the first big movie directed by Zackary Drucker. We’re so ready for this.
Our Take
We love seeing funny people like Mary Beth Barone take their talents to the big screen. Rom-coms inspired by real life? Yes, please! We’re hoping for something witty and charming.
