We just saw the news about Anurag Kashyap’s new film, ‘Bandar’, starring Bobby Deol. And, well, it didn’t exactly blow up the box office on its first day.
It didn’t even cross Rs 1 crore. Ouch.
We were kinda looking forward to seeing Bobby Deol in something different. The posters and trailers had a certain gritty, dark vibe going on. A bit of a moody aesthetic, you know?
But it seems like that vibe didn’t translate into ticket sales. It’s always a gamble, this movie business.
Our Take
It’s a bummer when a film with a known director and actor doesn’t do well. We always hope for the best for these creative projects. Hopefully, it picks up steam. Or maybe it’s just one of those films that finds its audience later.
