You won’t believe what just popped up on our radar!

Australia is making a splash. A big one! They’re sending their very first crew to Ties That Bind. That’s EAVE’s amazing European-Asian film training program.

Imagine the scene: Udine, Italy. Bright April sunshine. Filmmakers from all over, sharing ideas. It has this really warm, collaborative vibe, almost like the golden hour glow on an old Italian street.

Two talented Asian Australian filmmakers are right there in the mix. They’re joining the annual session. It runs alongside the Far East Film Festival and Focus Asia.

This whole thing wraps up on April 30. So much energy! Sheree Ramage, an industry expert, helped make it all happen. She shepherded the delegation to Udine.

It reminds us of how diverse stories are so important. Just like how Patralekhaa looked back at her film Phule – every story has its journey.

This program is all about bringing different parts of the world together. Filmmakers learn. They grow. They find partners for their next big project.

Our Take

We absolutely love this news. It’s about connections. About new voices getting heard. Seeing Australia step onto this global stage for co-production? Pure magic!

It shows how much good can come from working together. We can’t wait to see what amazing stories come out of this initiative. What a cool step for Aussie cinema!
