  • How much ‘Disclosure Day’ really needs to make
  • ‘Michael’ is still dancing its way to box office history

You won’t believe what just happened at the box office!

Steven Spielberg’s new alien thriller, “Disclosure Day,” has officially launched. And it’s doing numbers. Big numbers. We’re talking $93 million globally on its first go!

That’s a lot of popcorn. The international crowd really showed up, bringing in $48.9 million from 73 different spots. Wow.

Overseas audiences? They’re super important for this one. Universal spent a cool $115 million just making the movie. Then another $80 million telling everyone about it. It’s a lot to earn back.

Remember, about half of what we pay for tickets goes straight to the movie theaters. So, the film needs to rake in serious cash to make its money back and then some. It’s all about those long runs in theaters.

The trailers for “Disclosure Day” gave off such a cool, mysterious vibe. You know, that dark, atmospheric aesthetic that just pulls you into a secret world. We totally felt it.

Meanwhile, the movie “Michael” is still absolutely crushing it! It’s already nearing the $950 million milestone. That’s a massive achievement. Such a beloved story still bringing people together!

Our Take

We think “Disclosure Day” has a real shot. Spielberg. Aliens. It’s a classic combo. But it needs those international fans to keep showing up.

Every ticket counts! We’re excited to see if it can go the distance. And “Michael”? That’s just a phenomenon. What a run!
