We just saw the news, and oh boy, it’s a big one! You won’t believe who’s jumping into the world of ‘Tangled’ next. Seriously.
Diego Luna, our very own Cassian Andor from ‘Star Wars: Andor,’ is making a huge leap. From the gritty corners of the galaxy far, far away… to a fairytale kingdom! Talk about a genre switch-up.
He’s joining Disney’s live-action version of ‘Tangled.’ Yes, the one with Rapunzel and her super-long, magical hair!
We’re already picturing how they’ll bring that iconic, lantern-filled aesthetic to life. The original animated film had such a warm, glowing vibe, didn’t it? We wonder if the live-action will capture that same bright, hopeful feeling, or if they’ll go for a slightly different, perhaps more grounded blue-sky look.
He’s not alone on this adventure! He’ll be sharing the screen with some other cool folks. Teagan Croft from ‘Titans’ is in. So is Milo Manheim from ‘Zombies.’ And the amazing Kathryn Hahn from ‘The Studio’ is also onboard. What a lineup!
For those who might have been, dare we say, *yawning* during the animated original back in 2010, it’s a super fun story. Princess with magical hair. A charming bandit. A loyal chameleon. Pure adventure!

Our Take
This is so exciting! Diego Luna is known for serious, intense roles. It’ll be such a treat to see him in something different, maybe even a little whimsical. We’re hoping for some fantastic chemistry among the cast and, of course, a few catchy tunes. Can he sing? We’re about to find out!
The whole cast feels fresh, and we are totally here for it. We can’t wait to see how they bring this beloved tale to life on the big screen. Disney’s really going for it!
