New York Critics Give Awards To Scott Rudin Productions ‘Little Bear Ridge Road’ & ‘Death Of A Salesman’; Alden Ehrenreich Takes Top Performance Honor
- The New York Drama Critics’ Circle picks the season’s best.
- Samuel D. Hunter’s new play takes the top prize.
- Alden Ehrenreich wins big for his acting.
We just saw the best news for theater fans. The New York Drama Critics’ Circle just announced their big winners for the 2025-2026 season. It was a huge night for high-quality storytelling.
Samuel D. Hunter’s play, Little Bear Ridge Road, was named Best Play. It stars the amazing Laurie Metcalf and Micah Stock. Joe Mantello directed it, and Scott Rudin produced it. They really hit a home run with this one.
We love the visual style of this production. It has a very specific, moody vibe that feels so real. The aesthetic is simple but very powerful. It makes you feel like you are right there in the room with them.
Then there is Alden Ehrenreich. He took home the award for Best Individual Performance. He was incredible in Death of a Salesman. Seeing him win feels right. He brought something totally new to a famous role.
Speaking of famous roles, did you hear that Jamie Dornan is the new Aragorn? It’s a wild time for casting. Also, things are changing at big companies too. We recently looked at how John Ternus is stepping up at Apple.
If you want a break from the theater drama, there is always reality TV. We just saw updates on Kyle Richards’ daughter and her new look. There is never a dull moment in our world.
Our Take
We are so happy for Alden. He is a great talent. The play sounds beautiful. We think theater is moving in a very cool, artistic direction. It’s not just about flashy sets anymore. It’s about the feeling. We love that.
