Uh Oh! ‘You Can See Everything’ Misses Out on Top DGA Award
- What’s Inside:
- Why the movie isn’t in the running for a big prize.
- What category it *can* compete in.
We just heard some interesting news about that movie, ‘You Can See Everything.’ You know, the one by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim?
Well, it won’t be competing for the top Directors Guild of America Award for best feature film. Bummer, right?
The DGA says it’s because the film is actually a documentary. So, it can only compete in the documentary category. That makes sense, we guess.
The movie is about… well, we don’t want to spoil it too much, but it’s got a really unique visual style. Think muted colors and a very specific, almost observational aesthetic.
Our Take
It’s a little disappointing that the directors won’t get a shot at the big feature prize. But hey, at least they still get to compete in the documentary section! It’s still a win in our book.
