LA County Officials Meet To Secure ‘Baywatch’ Production’s Future In Venice

LA County officials are working hard to keep the filming of the Baywatch reboot in Venice Beach.

  • What’s Inside:
  • Baywatch might leave Venice Beach.
  • LA County officials want it to stay.
  • Meetings are happening to make it work.

We just saw some news that might make you want to grab your sunscreen! Remember Baywatch? That show with the slow-motion running and the beautiful beach scenes? Well, it might be packing up and heading out of Venice Beach. That’s right, the iconic location might be saying ‘so long’ to the lifeguards.

But don’t worry, not everyone is ready to let go. LA County officials are putting up a fight! They really want to keep the show’s filming right here in Los Angeles County. Imagine those sunny Venice vibes, the bright colors, and that classic coastal aesthetic – they’re hoping to keep that alive on screen.

Supervisor Lindsey Horvath met with folks from the city, the production team, and other important groups. They all got together at Fox Studios. They talked about the nitty-gritty stuff, like rules and permits, that have been making it tough to film there.

It sounds like they’re working hard to iron out the kinks. The goal is simple: keep Baywatch filming where it belongs, in the heart of LA. We’ll have to wait and see if they can make it happen!

Our Take

We love seeing familiar places on TV, especially when they have that cool, laid-back California feel. It’s awesome that our local officials are jumping in to try and keep this production in LA. More filming means more jobs and more of that Hollywood magic right here at home. Fingers crossed they can find a way to make it work!
