We just saw the lineup for this weekend and it is a total mood. Riz Ahmed is finally bringing his version of Hamlet to us. It looks dark. Gritty. The aesthetic is very noir and high-contrast. We love a classic story with a fresh, artistic lens.
Then there is Exit 8. This thriller is based on that hit video game. Think clean, bright hallways that feel totally wrong. It’s scary but beautiful to look at. This weekend is a win for anyone who loves original stories over big sequels.
