Netflix Shakes Up Its Comedy Team, Bringing Cartoons Back Home
- What’s Inside: Netflix is changing how it handles adult cartoons.
- Tracey Pakosta is back in charge of this department.
- What this means for your favorite shows.
Hey everyone! We just saw some interesting news from Netflix. They’re making a big change to their comedy department.
Remember those awesome adult animated shows? They’re moving back under the same boss who handles all the stand-up specials and sitcoms. That boss is Tracey Pakosta.
This is actually how it was when Tracey first joined Netflix back in 2020. It sounds like they’re going back to the original plan, which we think is pretty cool. It might mean all the comedy, whether it’s people on stage or cartoons, will have a more connected vibe.
Billy Wee, who was in charge of adult animation, and a couple of managers are also part of this switch. We’re curious to see how this affects the look and feel of future animated shows. Will we see more wild, colorful aesthetics or a different kind of visual style?
Our Take
Honestly, we like that Netflix is trying to make things work smoothly. Having animation under the same comedy umbrella could lead to some really great storytelling. We’re hoping for more fantastic shows like BoJack Horseman or Big Mouth!
