Remembering a TV Legend
We just heard the sad news. James Burrows, the guy who directed so many of the shows we grew up watching, has died. He was 85.
Think about it. Cheers. Friends. Seinfeld. He had a hand in all of them. That’s a lot of laughs and memories he gave us.
His Amazing Shows
Burrows had this incredible knack for making things feel real. He understood the characters. He knew how to get the perfect performance. The pacing was always spot-on. The visual style of his shows was so clean and inviting. Like a warm hug.
He directed over 1,000 episodes of TV. Can you even imagine? That’s a whole career, multiple times over. He won a bunch of awards too, Emmys galore.
Our Take
It’s a big loss for television. He shaped a whole era of comedy. We’ll always have his shows to rewatch, though. That’s something.
It makes us think about other great stories. Like Shahid Kapoor’s latest movie. Did you hear it’s a box office hit? We talked about his other film, Cocktail 2, crushing records too. And speaking of characters, Famke Janssen shared her thoughts on Marvel’s X-Men. So much going on!
