Okay, BuzzMedia fam, we’ve got a little update for you. Remember that new ‘Murder, She Wrote’ movie we’ve been excited about? The one starring the amazing Jamie Lee Curtis?

Well, it looks like we have to wait a tiny bit longer. Universal Pictures has pushed the release date back. It was supposed to come out in late 2027, but now it’s set for February 4, 2028.

It’s not a huge delay, just a few months. But still! We were ready for some cozy mystery vibes. You know, that classic small-town charm, maybe some autumnal colors, and Jessica Fletcher always finding clues. The aesthetic of the old show was so warm and inviting.

This means the movie won’t be going head-to-head with some super big superhero movies that are also coming out around the same time. So maybe that’s a good thing?

We’re still super pumped for this though. Jamie Lee Curtis is going to be fantastic as the sharp-witted mystery writer. We can just picture her now, piecing everything together.

Our Take

Look, a few extra months isn’t the end of the world. We’re just happy this project is still happening! We’ve got so much other cool stuff going on, like keeping up with ‘Fear Factor: House Of Fear’ getting another season, or the latest from the Jackson family drama. And hey, maybe this delay gives them even more time to perfect the story. We’re patiently waiting for Jessica Fletcher’s big-screen comeback!
