Oh No! Bugs Bunny’s Voice Just Went Silent…
- Who we lost.
- A huge legacy.
- What this means.
We just heard some really sad news. Eric Bauza, the voice of Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck, has passed away. He was only 46. That’s way too young.
You might have heard him in the recent movie, Coyote vs. Acme. He was the one bringing those classic Looney Tunes characters to life. It’s like the vibrant, cartoonish world he helped create just lost a little of its color.
He was following in the footsteps of the legendary Mel Blanc. That’s a big act to fill, and Eric did it so well. Warner Bros. even said he was amazing after Mel. It’s tough to imagine those characters sounding like anyone else.
It feels like a piece of our childhood is fading. His voice was so much a part of those funny, crazy cartoons we all grew up with.
Our Take
We’re really bummed out about this. Eric Bauza had such a gift. He made us laugh for years. Losing him feels like losing a friend, even if we never met him. We’re sending all our love to his family. It’s a tough time for everyone who loved his work.
