Crazy Rich Asians’ Rachel Chu is Back for a Hilarious HBO Series in NYC!
- Rachel Chu’s return!
- A new HBO series.
- Filming in New York City.
Guess who’s making a comeback? Constance Wu! Yes, our favorite Rachel Chu from ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ is returning for a brand new HBO series. It’s been eight long years, but she’s reuniting with the fabulous Young family.
And the best part? Constance Wu herself teased that the script is “really funny.” We’re already picturing the witty banter and hilarious situations. It’s penned by Adele Lim, who co-wrote the original movie. That’s got to be a good sign, right?
The show is being filmed right here in New York City. Imagine all the vibrant street scenes, the iconic backdrops! The whole vibe is shaping up to be incredibly stylish, just like the movie.
This one-hour drama series got the green light, so we can expect a full season. We’re so excited to see what this talented team brings to the small screen.
Our Take
We love hearing that our favorite characters are getting more screen time. Constance Wu is brilliant, and a funny script from Adele Lim sounds like a recipe for success. Plus, filming in NYC? We’re already feeling the energy!
