- Remember that cool 70s show, ‘Shazam!’?
- Well, the actor who played the main guy, Michael Gray, has passed away. He was 75.
- We’re sending our thoughts to his family.
We just saw the sad news that Michael Gray, the star of the original ‘Shazam!’ TV series, has died. He passed away peacefully at his home. It’s always a bummer to hear about someone from a show that had such a fun, vibrant aesthetic. Remember those bright colors and the heroic poses? That was totally the vibe of that show.
Before he was fighting bad guys with a magic word, Michael was on another show called ‘The Little People’ back in 1972. He worked alongside some big names there, like Brian Keith. He had quite the career before and during his time as our favorite superhero.
It’s a tough reminder that time keeps moving. We’re thinking about all the great memories his performance brought to us and so many others.
Our Take
It’s always a little bittersweet when we hear about stars from our favorite childhood shows leaving us. Michael Gray brought so much joy to a generation with his role in ‘Shazam!’. We’ll always remember that classic series.
