- The scoop on Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival!
Okay, friends, you won’t believe what just landed in our inbox! We just got the hot, hot news from the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. Yes, PÖFF! This is the only A-list festival up in Northern Europe, which means it’s a pretty big deal.
They just dropped their official selections. And their first feature film competitions. We’re talking 21 world premieres here. Plus three international premieres! That’s a lot of new movies to get excited about.
And guess who made the cut? British actor Ray Panthaki! His feature film debut, “In Starland,” is officially in. We’ve been waiting for this one. It’s so cool to see actors step behind the camera for their own vision.
Then there’s José María Cabral. Remember “Woodpeckers”? He’s back with “Sh*t Happens.” And get this, he was also selected for Sundance! So you know his style is going to be visually striking. We’re picturing bold colors and gritty textures for these new films, giving off a really strong, independent vibe. Such an artistic aesthetic for a festival like this.
We’re already clearing our calendars. Because new films from PÖFF always bring something unique. And honestly, we’re feeling that excitement build up. Almost as much as when we saw Gauahar Khan just cried over Bigg Boss 20. We totally feel that!
The festival promises so much fresh talent. So many stories to tell. It reminds us why we’re so here for all the new shows Skydance promises! More TV shows are coming and we are so here for it!
Our Take
Honestly, seeing these names pop up for such a prestigious festival is awesome. Ray Panthaki making his directorial debut? Yes, please! And José María Cabral bringing his unique storytelling back? We’re already making a watchlist. This festival always delivers on groundbreaking cinema. And we’re ready to dive in. Maybe with some Summer Fridays Eye Patches after all that movie watching!
