You won’t believe what just happened in the movie world! Our friends at Dogwoof are making some serious moves. They just snagged the rights to two super exciting films. Big news for them!
First up is ‘Rapinoe.’ Yep, that’s the documentary about the amazing soccer superstar Megan Rapinoe! It was a huge deal, kicking off the TIFF Docs program at the Toronto Film Festival last month. We can practically feel the energy of the film, seeing her vibrant play and fierce spirit leap off the screen.
Dogwoof now handles all the international sales for this flick, outside of North America. It’s all about impact, right? Speaking of making waves, Guess Who Just Showed Up Early for a London Court Date? Russell Brand.
But wait, there’s more! They also grabbed ‘Hanging By a Wire.’ This one is super special because it’s Pakistan’s official entry for the Oscars. How cool is that? We’re excited to see the unique visual flair and deep storytelling this film will bring, offering a completely different aesthetic.
This means Dogwoof is heading to MIPCOM with some real heavy-hitters. They’re basically showing up with the two most talked-about kids on the block! What a win.
Our Take
We are absolutely thrilled for Dogwoof! They’ve really hit the jackpot with these two. It’s awesome to see such diverse stories getting a global platform. From the fierce, bold colors of a sports doc to the nuanced aesthetic of an Oscar-contending drama, there’s something for everyone.
This means more amazing cinema for everyone. Get ready to add these to your must-watch list! It’s going to be epic.
