Bollywood’s Zeeshan Ayyub Calls Out OTT’s Star Obsession!
- What’s Inside
- Why OTT feels repetitive
- The problem with too much hero worship
- Our thoughts on the matter
We just caught an interview with actor Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, and he’s got some real talk about what’s happening on Indian streaming platforms. You know, the shows and movies you binge-watch? He thinks they’re getting a little… predictable.
Zeeshan feels like the whole ‘hero worship’ thing has gotten out of hand. It’s creating a whole new kind of star system, where the same faces keep popping up. It’s like the visual aesthetic is stuck on repeat, a bit too familiar for our liking.
He mentioned that this obsession with big stars is making OTT shows follow the same old patterns. It’s a shame because there’s so much talent out there! It makes you wonder if we’re missing out on fresh stories because of it.
Our Take
Honestly, we get what Zeeshan is saying. Sometimes it feels like you’ve seen that story before, with different actors. We love a good star, but it shouldn’t overshadow amazing new talent or bold creative choices. We’re all about seeing different vibes and colors on our screens!
It makes us think about those big names we saw get detained at a protest recently, or even how Robert Pattinson’s Batman just doesn’t fit into the new DC world. When the ‘star system’ gets too rigid, things just don’t flow, right?
