Okay, deep breaths everyone! The 72nd National Film Awards 2026 are officially kicking off, and guess who just showed up looking absolutely radiant? Yami Gautam! Seriously, her arrival set the tone. She brought such a lovely, elegant vibe to the whole event. We just saw her, and wow.
But hold up. There’s a bit of a twist for fans. Dhanush and Kartik Aaryan, two big names, decided to skip the red carpet completely. A surprise, right? It makes you wonder about the overall aesthetic of the night when some stars opt out of that grand entrance moment.

On a more somber note, our hearts are with Rani Mukerji and her family during this time, following the passing of her mother. Such sad news.
Our Take
Here at BuzzMedia Times, we’re always here for the awards. But honestly, the red carpet is a huge part of the whole experience, isn’t it? Yami truly shone. Her presence alone created a beautiful visual. But the absence of Dhanush and Kartik does change the dynamic a little. It adds a layer of mystery. The show will go on, of course, and we’re excited to see the winners. But that initial visual impact? It’s always a big talking point for us!
