- A new thriller you might need to see!
You won’t believe what’s happening in Savannah! The SCAD Savannah Film Festival is gearing up for its 29th year, and it’s starting with a bang. We’re talking big screens, big names, and a whole lot of film magic.
First up, the festival opens on Saturday, October 24th, with Anton Corbijn’s new thriller. It’s called “A Talent for Murder,” and just the title gives us a real moody, dark vibe. We’re already picturing the dramatic lighting and suspenseful shots!
But wait, there’s more! The incredible Helen Mirren is getting a major shout-out. She’ll receive the Legend of Entertainment Award. Seriously, can we get a round of applause? This woman has such a powerful, elegant aesthetic on screen.
This isn’t just any film fest. It’s the biggest university-led one in the country. And it’s one of the largest in the whole Southeast. That’s huge!
Speaking of huge news, did you hear about the Paramount & Warner Bros. Discovery Deal? That’s some serious industry shake-up! And if you need some musical relief, Tamannaah & Sidharth’s ‘Thummak Thummak’ is a TOTAL BANGER! We’re Obsessed!
Our Take
We are SO excited for this festival! Celebrating someone like Helen Mirren just feels right. She’s a true icon. And a thriller to kick things off? Perfect! It sets a really intense, exciting tone for the whole event. We bet the visual storytelling in “A Talent for Murder” will be epic. Get your popcorn ready!
