Wow! ‘Resident Evil’ Just Exploded at the Box Office!
- The new Resident Evil movie broke all franchise records.
- Filmmaker Zach Cregger scored his biggest hit ever.
- This movie is already bigger than the original!
We just saw some absolutely wild numbers hit the global box office! The new ‘Resident Evil’ movie isn’t just a hit. It’s a monster. A giant!
It raked in a mind-blowing $108.3 million worldwide. That’s not just big. That’s the best opening the entire ‘Resident Evil’ series has ever seen. Talk about a comeback!
And get this: it’s also filmmaker Zach Cregger’s biggest opening yet. His last film, ‘Weapons’, did great, but this one zoomed right past its $70 million opening. Pow!
The visual style of this movie must be really hitting home. We’re picturing all that gritty, survival horror aesthetic people love. Dark colors. Intense action. It just looks good on screen.
It’s so good, in fact, that this new movie’s opening weekend alone has already beaten the entire global run of the very first ‘Resident Evil’ film. Can you believe it? That’s insane!
While some folks are busy checking out the latest news on Man Utd or the epic Atlético Madrid vs Real Madrid match, we’re here thinking about zombies and global domination! What a weekend for movies.
Our Take
We think this is a huge win for horror and action fans everywhere. It shows that classic franchises can still pull massive crowds when done right. We’re excited to see what happens next for the film and for Zach Cregger. He’s definitely one to watch!
