Okay, so we just heard about something wild happening at the Telluride Film Festival. You know how they always have a surprise sneak peek movie? Well, this year, the festival boss, Julie Huntsinger, took a big chance.
She picked a documentary. Documentaries are cool, but they don’t always pull in the huge crowds like a big action movie might. It’s kind of a risk, right?
And get this: right before she announced the movie, someone in the theater yelled out “Digger!”. Apparently, they were hoping for that big Tom Cruise movie. Imagine the vibe in there! Lots of guessing, a little bit of a panic, and then… a documentary about Elizabeth Holmes. Talk about a plot twist!
Our Take
We love that Telluride is willing to show something different. Sometimes the most interesting stories aren’t the ones everyone expects. It’s brave to program a doc like this, and we’re super curious to see what it’s like. Plus, that “Digger!” shout? Totally made our day.
