Okay, BuzzMedia fam, we just saw some news that made us do a double-take. You know the Matrix? The mind-bending movies with all the cool green code and slow-motion kicks? Well, Lilly Wachowski, one of the original creators, is pretty much saying ‘peace out’ to the franchise.
She’s been quoted as saying she’s “kinda done” with it. Like, totally unplugged. It’s been over 27 years since she and her sister Lana blew our minds with the first film. Now, a new director, Drew Goddard, is stepping into the director’s chair for what sounds like a new installment. Lilly says they’re only dipping their toes in a little bit for something else, but the sandbox is no longer hers to play in.
