We just saw some crazy news coming out of Bengaluru! Apparently, folks who are really passionate about the Cauvery water issue decided to make their point at a movie theater.
They went to see a film called ‘Jana Nayagan.’ But instead of enjoying the show, they stopped it! We’re hearing they caused a big ruckus, even tearing down movie posters. Imagine being in the middle of a film and all that happens!
The whole vibe in the theater must have been intense. We can only picture the flashing lights and the loud voices replacing the movie’s visuals. It’s a jarring contrast to the escapism we usually seek at the movies.
Our Take
Look, we get it. People care deeply about important issues like water rights. But is a movie theater the right place to express that anger? We think there are better ways to get attention for causes, ways that don’t involve disturbing everyday people trying to have a relaxing night out.
